This beautiful mud-work wall plate is from one of the clusters in Kutch, has been done with cold-ceramic process where the clay is pasted onto the wooden board, left to dry, painted and then the panel is decorated with mirrors. Traditionally, the mud-art was used to decorate homes, walls, windows, furniture and other objects. The meaning of 'Shree' is Goddess Lakshmi.It depicts auspiciousness, luster, prosperity and pratham shrestha.
